I’ve been thinking about Republican senators that have the highest chance of voting against party lines in terms of confirming Sessions and DeVos. Is it worthwhile to get in touch with these senators even if I don’t live in their states, or will they pretty much not care? My MA senators are both already opposing them, but I feel like I should be doing something.

I know Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski have already vowed to oppose DeVos. Republicans seem confident that no one else will flip, meaning that the confirmation will go through, and the vote is set to potentially happen as early as tomorrow, but is it worth trying?

And with Sessions, shouldn’t McCain and Graham be thinking about opposing him since he’s unlikely to stand up to trump over the muslim ban, which both of them have openly opposed?

I figure it might be worth a shot anyway, right, or am I just shouting into the void?
