A while back we (I think it was you and me and a few others) were talking about cooking, cookbooks, etc. I mentioned my love of Michael Ruhlman's Ratio (which I think you also said you had), and you mentioned another book which you said had changed the way you thought about cooking.

I thought about making a run to a bookstore to look for it, but then I couldn't think of the name—it was a book that was less about specific recipes and more about how different ingredients go together, wasn't it? Or am I completely misremembering things?
