So my mother, who takes care of my infant during class, had surgery today. (Ssh, she had her stomach stapled and isn't telling anyone so when the Magic Weight Loss happens they think it's all her!) I have my first day of the Academic Recovery class tomorrow, which is the class they make you take when you never go to class. I feel like maybe I can't skip it. But I have nobody to watch the baby. I'm thinking one of the following three things:
1: leave the baby in her carrier in the middle of the cafeteria and count on baby magnetism to ensure that a gaggle of 20-year-old girls are surrounding her at all times.
2: take the baby with me and try to convince everyone that she's one of those real dolls that I'm carrying for credit for another class, or
3: real solution consisting of ?
There is not a single daycare in town that has space for infants. Well, there's one. And there's a reason and my kid won't be staying there thankyouverymuch.
Time for a last minute plan!
UPDATE: Holy balls, the Mormon Coed Internet Tree is amazing! I posted a note on a class board asking whether anyone might be available to sit outside the classroom and hold a baby for an hour for $5. I got thirty responses in ten minutes.
