Josh Marshall over at TPM has weighed in on his thoughts.

Essentially he breaks it down that yes, it’s bad when business people have editorial control but the story was so bad to begin with it’s you can’t even use it to make that point. No one is going to give you sympathy over business people pulling your stories when the story is pretty reviled to begin with.

Basically, this story was probably not the hill you want to die on.

It also looks like the tantrum is somewhat over as there’s new posts showing up on Gawker now. After seeing the ridiculous lunch bill that was posted I’m wondering what company would hire that guy now knowing he’d pull something like that?
