So today I had to pick something up from an Asian market—the first time, I think, I've ever been in one. Trying to navigate aisles full of things I could kind of, sort of figure out (in terms of what was actually inside the packages with entirely foreign labels) was more interesting than I had anticipated, as was seeing items that I had never heard of. For instance, in the freezer section, and I quote, "Cuttlefish balls." Yes, I can figure out that it's almost certainly some kind of prepared dish and not actual testicles (since I'm not a marine biologist, I assume that male cuttlefish have testicles, but how should I know?). I don't care. I giggled.
