When one thinks, "Hey, I wonder if I could find that thing I wrote a hundred years ago," two things to be aware of:

1) Using virtually identical marble-cover composition notebooks for everything you have to write is a really good way to make it hard to find old stuff;

2) That might be a good thing, since when you do find it, you will be horrified to remember just how fucked up you were. (And not nearly as talented as you remember. And probably not as tall. And you never had that much hair.)

Nixon had it right: best to burn the tapes when you have the chance.
