My damn wiener kids finally discovered Parry Gripp, and they’ve been singing all of his songs to each other and to me. I have had “It’s Raining Tacos” and “It’s A Cat Flushing A Toilet” alternating in my head for three days now, and none of my usual earworm eradicators are working. I think it’s time to bring out the big guns: two hours of old Dr. Demento Radio Show songs circa 1983, followed by an extended session of the American Song-Poem Anthology album. If “Do You Know The Difference Between Big Wood And Brush” and “I Like Yellow Things” don’t do it, I’m not sure what else will work. Suggestions?
