I'm currently undergoing a full-gut bathroom remodel.

The remodel was supposed to start about 2 weeks from now but Sunday night the contractor called me up and said he had a few weeks open up and he could squeeze me in immediately.

Great! Except I hadn't chosen all of my finishes. Because I don't have much of a lead time, I have to go with tile that is in stock at my local tile houses.

I'm going with a mixture of porcelain and glass subway tile to give it an updated yet still somewhat classic look (to the original 50s-era house). I don't want anything too trendy that will fall out of fashion as soon as the grout dries.

So what do you think of this bathroom:

The penny round floors and subway walls are a fairly classic look but it still has a distinctly contemporary feel to it (courtesy of the clean lines and high gloss finishes).

I've already chosen a white tile floor, but my issue is the black tile walls (that's black not grey, believe it or not). I'll be going with a more traditional 3x6 tile vs whatever size they have.

Any thoughts?
