I think that was her name. She was the regular writer who was also a lawyer. From what I’ve seen lately on GM sites, they desperately need to hire someone who understands the law. There are so many articles on Gawker, Jezebel, and Deadspin that report on legal issues, it just doesn’t make any sense to constantly have half-assed comments or flat out incorrect statements about the proceedings.

I’ve noticed that there are two or three commenters that are regularly writing substantial comments explaining what is really going on and, at times, having to correct the author’s misstatements. It’s sad that it has to come to that.

Mind you, I don’t expect them to hire Nina Totenberg to provide in-depth analysis, but shit, just get someone who can explain the basics to a non-legal, snarky audience. How hard is that?
