Reading through his case history, he’s written the majority opinion in Romer v. Evans, Lawrence v. Texas, United States v. Windsor and now Obergefell v. Hodges. Every landmark gay rights case since he was nominated. Nominating Kennedy might be the only good thing Reagan did in his time in office.
His only blight is writing the dissent in Hollingsworth v. Perry, and Sotomayor joined him in that, both concerned that the will of the people was being overruled by unelected bodies. Weirdly, Antonin fucking Scalia joined the majority in Hollingsworth. I wonder if he was high or something.
