Welp.

TL;DR - Bryan Goldberg, the Bustle CEO who purchased Gawker at the fire sale price of $1.35m, plans to relaunch the disemboweled carcass of Gawker.com.

Interestingly enough, few people contacted for this article were willing to be quoted—and those who were had rather grim outlooks.

  • Alex Pareene, “I was content, at last, with Gawker being dead.”
  • Gabriel Snyder, “Looking around the media landscape of 2018, I believe the world needs a website like the old Gawker. But I don’t know the world needs another website called Gawker.”
  • Choire Sicha, “Haha, omg.”
  • Brendan O’Connor, “It’s stupid and I hate it.”
