What books are sitting in a stack waiting for you to get to them/finish them, even while you keep buying and reading more books?

Here are mine:

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton (recommended by TRC, reading it now but maybe got bogged down a bit and currently detoured into some lite reading about Munchausen's by proxy)

Getting Personal by Phillip Lopate (author of the Best Essay Ever "Against Joie de Vivre" which I assume you have all by now read)

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts (started this, got unreasonably irritated at the ex-bf who recommended it, went on strike)

Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel (started this and just decided I wasn't in the mood)

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson (Richard Lawson loved this one!)

Blue Monday by Joan Didion (I just found this on my shelf, no idea where it came from)
