Does it sort of remind anyone of the old-old-old-Gawker? I mean, the one back in 2006, or even 2008 when they released Sarah Palin's hacked e-mails? Yes, there used to be the @Scylla&Sin annotation so you knew who was replying to whom, and it was slightly more complicated even with much fewer commenters. But we had STARS. Stars meant something. Using grammar was a Gawker rule and all caps was a banning offense. White supremacists/racists (like the asshole WhiteRight from this thread - I think he/she was banned) stayed in the red. Aaron Altman, CodePink and American Dreamer (a troll, yes, but actually invoked discussion and wasn't that stupid, unlike the trolls we have now) all existed and elevated the level of discussion. The Ban Hammer existed! Pareen and RLaws were still on staff! THE MONTAUK MONSTER!!!

TL;DR: I am old and I HATE CHANGE. I WANT A MYFACE ACCOUNT.
