You'd think, if you were running for office in a state that can't get executions right, you wouldn't try to find new reasons to kill people. That's probably because you're some kind of homo-sympathizer; just ask State Legislature candidate Scott Esk. [ETA: He is, of course, just a candidate, and ETA: #NotAllOklahomans]
In his defense, he seems to be okay with not actually enacting such laws...for now, at least:
Morris followed up on the issue and Esk hardly backed down: "What I will tell you right now is that was done in the old testament under a law that came directly from God. And in that time, it was totally just, it came directly from God. I have no plans to, you know, reinstitute that in Oklahoma law. I do have some very huge moral misgivings about those kinds of sins," Esk told Morris.
