They do seem to have some new feature(s), but now I can’t post an update with a new time and date, so here’s an new post! grrr
It’s almost over now (ends at 3:30PM Central Time), but The A.V. Club is running an open forum about the upcoming changeover to Kinja, in case anyone’s interested.
Hello. We’re The Root.
Anybody else have a bunch of bots with first name/last name profiles following you on Kinja? One example:
Blogs are now listed across the top of the page on a black bar, and notifications and your avatar are teeny, tiny, in the upper right corner. I thought for a minute my avatar had disappeared.
Just like the old Kinja but even worse! What is up with all the question/answer thing?
Does anyone still care about Genius News? I do. I love this. I love it because it makes no fucking sense. It made no sense when Denton did it. It makes even less sense now. A wise man learns from his mistakes. A wiser man learns from the mistakes of others.
I get the point. Let’s Ask BigDamn Heroes anything. Absolutely anything. And, thanks to kinja, expect about 42 replies to each comment.
Why is there so much white space? Is this a design feature or a bug (feature) when using Chrome?
Finally, suggested kinja posts on the bottom of the page! Now we just need some on top and on the right. And in the middle of every page.
Appeared at the bottom of a Deadspin post.
I love this comment. So perfect in a post about the future. Given how many times I've been put back in grey, I'd say the greys are contagious and there is no immunity.
At least on my browser, the story about the hackers of X-box, et al now attacking Tor blinks out and the page crashes within seconds of opening. I can't read past the tweet. None of my other pages crash. FWIW, running a Macbook with Chrome.
I don't know who I pissed off, but my few weeks of being in the black on Gawker are apparently over.
