So while we're having a nice day talking about badass women in government, here's a golden goose for you. From TPM:

A congressional investigation found that Braulio Castillo, President and CEO of Strong Castle, Inc., filed a claim for service-disabled veteran status in 2012 entitling him to lucrative business contracts. Castillo cited an ankle injury he sustained while at the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School in 1984.

Duckworth, who lost both her legs while serving in the Iraq War, was angered by Castillo's claim.

Holy fucking shit, angered might be a bit of an understatement. I seriously thought she was about to propel herself over the bench and latch onto the guy's throat with her teeth.

My favorite part is right at the end where Rep. Duckworth yields the floor, apologizes for going over time and thanks the chair for being "indulgent." Without missing a beat Rep. Issa drolly intones, "I thank the gentlelady...and the time was well spent."
