But I have questions about the current landscape of comedy today. I'm uh, older...so I went through that time when comedy made superstars and it was everywhere, HBO specials were must sees, comedy shows were sold out, etc...and then I got burnt out. I haven't even bothered to check out Louis CK and I've been told I would love him. So what's it like out there? Are we going through a resurgence of the comedy stars = supermodels of days long past or is it more of a Saturday Night Live still not that funny but gets reported on all the time anyway kind of thing?
And, I have to ask, are rape jokes really a thing? Because all of this controversy reminds me of what happened to this guy and I don't think he even went that far.
Note: I'm not criticizing. I just feel a bit lost.
