A group of acquaintances and I have been partaking of trivia nights off and on in the past several months, and we've been doing okay. We'd like to do *better*. Do any of you have tips for preparing for a general knowledge trivia game? For what its worth, this particular game runner does not rely on trick questions, but does use "guestimate" type questions that he doesn't necessarily expect anyone to have the exact answer to. For example, tonight, one of his "guestimate" questions was the percentage of Caesarian section births there were in the US, and another was the percentage of green house gas emissions produced by cars alone. Our team got ALL FIVE of the guestimate questions WRONG. We still managed to come in second (after a tie breaker round that we won), but we're trying to remain competitive. Please provide any tips and tricks you might have in the comments! :)
